Self love, they say??
Millions of people out there scream self love is key, but how many people actually practice it??
It should be understood that saying goes hand in hand with practicing.
I met a lady on recent, and she always felt she needed reassurance from someone she loves, I mean a little reassurance won’t hurt anyone, but to always need it ?? now that’s a problem.
We also need to understand that we have to know what to bring to the table, to be comfortable to eat by ourselves if no one else is willing and by the time they realize your worth, you’d be worth more.
At the end of the day, self love has its different meanings, but all in all, self love is engaging in the littlest of activities for the love of it, it could be watering the plants, making a meal or tidying up your room. Most especially when you feel mentally down, you’re meant to treat yourself like you’re physical ill, if that makes any sense.
You treat yourself with so much love that people start to question you. It’s ok to love what someone despises, you didn’t come to the world together so why would you think you would have the same attributes??? Even twins don’t have the same attributes.
I’m that introvert, and anytime I’d see people going out looking lovely and pretty, I’d feel I’m not living up to expectations, but the more you look at it, the more you realize that’s their type of self love; dressing up, looking lovely and going out for dinners.
Yours could be staying home, reading your favorite book with a cup of coffee. Not all birds that fly in the sky are the same, although they are all classified as birds, each bird has its own importance whether noticed or not, because they have the ability to fly.
Whether extrovert or not, we are all classified as humans, so the sky is big enough for us all to fit in. Don’t limit yourself because you think you’re not good enough.
Love yourself. But also, analyze and be critical of how you think, act and behave. Self love without self awareness is useless.
Repeat it after me till it makes sense.
